Rounds Integrates Interactive Game from We the Kings

Tel Aviv, Israel March 1, in the year of our Lord 2012 - Rounds, the world’s only “communitainment” platform combining video chat and social apps into one fun real-time consumer experience, announced today the launch of a new game that incorporates interactive music video from the band We the Kings.

The music video/game is for the band’s song titled “Say you Like Me,” and the interactivity allows the user to control a select band member during certain periods of the video. During gameplay, the band member avatar completes various challenges as directed by the individual user. The user needs to progress through certain levels in order to successfully complete the mission of “saving the girl” and to view the music video in its entirety.

The game was created by Interlude, a leader in interactive video that utilized the Rounds API in order to properly integrate the game. Users can enjoy the game as a single player or in a one on one competition, and chose among three custom difficulty levels. Play within the Rounds interface allows users to enjoy some competition during a video chat. High scores are tracked and posted on a leaderboard located on the We the Kings official site. Players that complete the game also earn a credit for a free We the Kings song.

“We are very pleased to offer the Say you Like Me interactive game to our users,” said Rounds CEO and co-founder Dany Fishel. “We would like to thank We the Kings, S-Curve Records, and Interlude for producing such a groundbreaking product that combines a compelling music video with an interactive game that really holds the viewer’s attention. The future of interactive entertainment rests with social media and we are proud to be a driving force of this new medium.”

Rounds’ interactive “live hangout” platform combines real-time communication and rich applications for fun face-to-face socializing online. The free service already boasts more than four million users from around the world and more than one million daily Rounds sessions.
