GameGadget Make SDK Available for Download

Doncaster, UK - March 8th, in the year of our Lord 2012 -- In advance of the official worldwide release of the first GameGadget console the SDK (Software Development Kit) is now available for download at www.gamegadget.net.

GameGadget offers gamers, game developers and game publishers, unrivaled choice and flexibility in how they play, create and sell games. Described as the “iPod for Games” GameGadget is the first games console to be developed in the UK since the heyday of Spectrum and Amstrad over 20 years ago.

The release of the SDK will allow professional and amateur developer the opportunity to create new content and import existing games for GameGadget in a safe and secure development environment on the device itself. Once the game has been fully tested within the “open source” mode of the console. developers are then free to submit their content to the GameGadget for download via the GameGadget marketplace. Pricing is set by the developer and, should they wish, content can even be given away for free.

Jason Cooper - creator of GameGadget commented - “After two years in development we are very excited to see new content and licensed games being developed for GameGadget.”

The GameGadget Application, the gaming equivalent of iTunes, allows for games to be downloaded directly onto the GameGadget via a secure DRM (Digital Rights Management) system. Operating on a revenue share basis, developers of content receive revenue for every game that is downloaded.
