GameGadget Goes Local

Doncaster, UK - March 22, in the year of our Lord 2012 -- With the launch now only days away GameGadget have announced a "social" distribution model that provides customers an opportunity to "group buy", emulating popular deal sites such as Groupon and Living Social.

GameGadget offers gamers, game developers and game publishers, unrivalled choice and flexibility in how they play, create and sell games. Described as the “iPod for Games” GameGadget is the first games console to be developed in the UK since the heyday of Spectrum and Amstrad over 20 years ago.

The GameGadget Application, the gaming equivalent of iTunes, allows for games to be downloaded directly onto the GameGadget via a secure DRM (Digtial Rights Management) system. Operating on a revenue share basis, developers of content receive revenue for every game that is downloaded.

GameGadget will be available from online retailers such as Amazon, Play and The Hut as well as UK High St retailers such as Grainger Games. GameGadget are also offering customers the opportunity to "Group Buy", sharing in the same volume discounts usually enjoyed by retailers and distributors. Fuelled by Social Media, customers can act as micro distributors supplying family, friends and neighbours, sharing the discount or selling for profit.

Jason Cooper - creator of GameGadget commented
“It is clear from the customer feedback we have seen via our Facebook and Twitter sites that GameGadget has really captured the public's imagination. Groups of customers have identified the potential of GameGadget and share this passion through Social Media. We see this as a extremely powerful route to market.”

GameGadget is available now for Pre-Order via GameGadget.net, Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, The Hut.com and Grainger Games. Customers interested in Group Buying should contact GameGadget via their Facebook page; www.facebook.com/gamegadgetgames.
