Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame
Since 1998 those of involved
with Family Friendly Gaming have been promoting good
games for families. We have been involved in the
industry for decades. We are constantly honoring
good games for families. The Holy Bible has been the
set in stone standards we have applied to the
definitions we use. Covering these games in a wide
variety of forms has been the order of the day for
these games. We wanted to do something additional,
and special for some of the best of the best. Yes we
have a rarely given seal of approval.
What about something else though? Some companies and
some franchises deserve a lifetime achievement
award. Which is usually given when that lifetime is
over with. In video games a franchise can come back.
Companies can come back. So after much prayer,
fasting, and earnestly seeking God's will we have an
exciting announcement. Welcome to the Family
Friendly Gaming Hall of Fame. Here are the in year
of our Lord 2025 inductees. Each inductee will
receive a plaque to commemorate their status of as a
Family Friendly Gaming Hall of Famer.
Little Nemo Dream Master - Capcom
When we are asked about some of our most favorite
video games from the 8-Bit era Little Nemo Dream
Master is one of those video games that come up.
Long before Mario did all the animal costume
changing we had the similar concept complete in
Little Nemo Dream Master. This cute, whimsical, and
fun video game expanded a franchise and gave
families some fun entertainment to enjoy. Welcome to
the FFG Hall of Fame Little Nemo Dream Master.
Nintendo Entertainment System - Nintendo
The 8-bit video game system that changed the world.
Nintendo Entertainment System is played still to
this day. Indie video game developers are still
making video games that will work on the Nintendo
Entertainment System. There were so many wonderful
games and experiences on the Nintendo Entertainment
System. This home console opened a great many eyes
on what a video game system could do. The
peripherals were fantastic as well. Acknowledge the
Nintendo Entertainment System in the FFG Hall of
Fame.
100 Classic Books - Nintendo
Is 100 Classic Books a video game? Maybe. Then again
maybe not. Does that really matter though? 100
Classic Books is exactly what is says it is on the
Nintendo DS. There are one hundred classic books
that families can read in 100 Classic Books. This is
a wonderful idea that helps families educate
themselves to the classics. This idea really needed
to expand and grow. 100 Classic Books slides into
the FFG Hall of Fame.
2048 - Cosmigo
2048 has been on multiple systems over the years. I
really liked 2048 on the Nintendo 3DS personally.
The matching concept in 2048 is very simple to
learn. We move up, down, left or right. If two
blocks have the same number then they double. For
example two 2's turn into one four. The goal is to
stay around long enough to avoid filling up the
whole screen. Every move brings one more block. No
spaces to place it and it is game over. 2048 makes
gamers think again as it enters the FFG Hall of
Fame.
Active Life Extreme Challenge - Bandai Namco
Entertainment
The Wii brought families so many wonderful exercise
experiences. Active Life Extreme Challenge is one of
those experiences. The gameplay mat helped players
get even more motion while they were gaming, Active
Life Extreme Challenge helped improve the image of
the entire video game industry. Active Life Extreme
Challenge helped families lose some weight and have
fun at the same time. Active Life Extreme Challenge
jogs into the FFG Hall of Fame.
Kimp Boykin - Family Friendly Gaming
Those that knew him, loved him. Kimp Boykin did so
many wonderful things in his life. He helped Paul,
Yolanda, Peter, and Noah in countless ways. Kimp
Boykin knew a lot about hunting and fishing which
helped us determine if video games were authentic or
not. A game may make the claim but Kimp Boykin could
tell if it was right or not. Kimp Boykin left this
mortal coil a few years back. We honor him into the
FFG Hall of Fame.
