From the Editor's Desk
Memorial Day 2007
It has been awhile since I have written an Editor's Desk
online. For all ya'll that really enjoy the Editor's Desk please
accept my humblest apologies. My reasons have been I have been
busy with editing Family Friendly Gaming, getting the lay out of
pages done, chatting with different game developers, setting up
appointments at E3, and taking care of family functions. In fact
I have taken up gardening.
There is so much to learn, and I have been learning a lot in the
realm of gardening. Weeding a garden has been a lot more
involved than I would have ever thought. It is however very
rewarding. Eating berries and vegetables that we grew is such an
awesome experience. The garden also shrinks our yard a little
bit, and mowing has been a learning experience for me as well. I
can get a sunburn, and the peeling process is one that was
memorable.
It is my hope and prayer that you know what Memorial Day is
about. As a disabled veteran myself, I feel extremely blessed to
be around to share my thoughts, feelings, and prayers with
ya'll. There are a great many out there who have given their
lives so the rest of us may remain free. My heart goes out to
their friends and families.
There is evil out there, and their sacrifice was needed so the
rest of us can live peaceful lives. I myself have seen horrors
committed by those who do not have Jesus at the center of their
lives. Good men stand up against such horrors, and stop them
from occurring again. To all of those, I salute you.
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down
his life for his friends.
God bless you and yours,
Paul Bury
