48 Angels

Recently I was blessed by being able to watch 48 Angels – a movie being released by MTI Video. This thought provoking movie tugs at the heart strings in so many different manners. The young man Seamus goes out to find God before God finds him. The reason for his quest is he is dying at the age of nine, and he wants to receive a miracle. He sets himself adrift in a boat with no sail, and no oars. God will guide him.

On the journey he comes across a teenage boy running from his past, and a man with an injury in his side. The man is out for revenge, but Seamus helps him anyway. The plot twists and turns as secrets are revealed (sorry none from me). The acting was spectacular, and the images from Ireland are awe inspiring.

48 Angels touches on so many issues that this is a DVD that I feel is worth the investment. It has me thinking about all the facets of the story and feeling for so much suffering that goes on in the world today. Too many people blame God for bad things, when it is people who are doing the bad. Then the reaction of other people to the bad in their lives makes the world a better or worse place.

The release date for 48 Angels is December 11, in the year of our Lord 2007 for MSRP $24.99. I will be contemplating and praying about quite a few aspects of this movie for some time now. The rating is PG-13 as there is some blood, language, and a small amount of violence.

God bless you and yours,
