Super Weekend Mode

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a
digital download code for Super Weekend Mode on multiple different
systems. This is a downloadable only title that is done in the retro
style. Super Weekend Mode could easily pass for an 8-bit video game. I
could see Super Weekend Mode porting over to the 8-bit NES onto a
cartridge at some future date. That might be very interesting indeed.

I played Super Weekend Mode on the Playstation 4. This game is really
simple in concept but can get very confusing extremely fast. We have a
blue and red bumper. We press R1 and the red bumper moves from the
outside to the inside. We press L1 and the left bumper moves from the
outside to the inside. We move the bumpers back and forth to catch/avoid
falling objects and shoot the boss.

There are nine levels in Super Weekend Mode that get progressively more
difficult. There are multiple different female characters we can play
with. They give different advantages based on who they are. They also
have different revives. It can be easy to make a mistake and die in
Super Weekend Mode. The modes in Super Weekend Mode are Tutorial, Game
		Start, Leaderboards, Config, and Credits.

I enjoyed the retro music in Super Weekend Mode. The graphics reminded
me of certain parts of Undertale. Super Weekend Mode starts easy and
gets progressively more difficult. Avoiding those bad objects and
hitting the boss are not always exclusive. If either of our bumpers gets
hit by a bad object we lose a heart. There are only so many hearts in
		Super Weekend Mode.

Super Weekend Mode is a different kind of an idea for a video game. I
see Super Weekend Mode as either hit or miss. People will either really
get into Super Weekend Mode or they will not like it at all. I did not
get into Super Weekend Mode. I understand the concept of this game. I
understand where the developer was going. I don’t want to go there.
