Neon Junctions

Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital downloadable code to Neon Junctions on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS Vita. We only used the code for the PS4 and offered the other code on our Twitter feed to Twitch followers that whisper to us which system they wanted a code to. Neon Junctions is a first person 3D puzzle video game. This downloadable only video game is definitely inspired by the 1980s.

The bummer to Neon Junctions is there are only thirty-four levels in it. We pick up blocks, and then put them down to complete a circuit. The spaces that are active have a red pulse to them. Places that are not active are blue. We can bridge the gap with blue blocks. Once we bridge the gap the blue blocks turn red. Does all of that make sense?

The download size to Neon Junctions is two hundred megs. The music is retro, and the graphics have the Tron sort of feel to them. I enjoyed playing Neon Junctions on the Playstation 4. This game could use a bit better controls though. Moving with certain buttons is quick, and other buttons are slow. I also learned that I could accidently place in the wrong spot and have to get it back out.

I learned something very fast while playing Neon Junctions. I only needed to complete the circuit going one direction. I wound up with extra blocks in some of the levels because I did not need that many blocks to complete the area. I also learned to look around for the blocks in Neon Junctions. Sometimes they were hidden. Other times I needed to use some blocks to access other blocks.

Neon Junctions caught me by surprise. I wish there were more levels because this is a fun video game. Neon Junctions would work great in VR (Virtual Reality) in my professional opinion. I hope to see more games like Neon Junctions in the near future. This is also the kind of a video game that belongs at retail.
