League of War VR Arena

None of us here at Family Friendly Gaming had heard of League of War
before. I was initially hesitant about League of War VR Arena. The press
releases talked about war, battling, and whatnot. I was not sure how
family friendly this downloadable only VR video game would be. League of
War VR Arena has a thirteen and older rating on it. I could see this
game earning the E10+ rating personally.
We are at one end of a long rectangle table. We are on the short end.
The opponent is on the other short end. We have four defenses that
protect us. When those are destroyed we lose the game. So we want to
destroy the four defenses of the opponent. League of War VR Arena even
has local multiplayer. Which is really cool. Only one family member can
be in VR though.
League of War VR Arena looks good, sounds good, and is fun to play.
There is violence as vehicles blow one another up and then vanish. There
are some spots where it is really close to bad language. Different words
are used in the instances I ran across. Two move controllers are needed
for the player in VR. I am not sure why this is done because League of
War VR Arena could be played with just one Move controller.
League of War VR Arena has a rock paper scissors kind of concept to it.
Infantry beats choppers, but is weak against tanks and artillery. Tanks
beat infantry, artillery, and recon, but is weak against choppers.
Choppers beat tanks and artillery but weak against infantry. Artillery
beats all ground units, but has weak defenses. Recon units are weak
against everything but other recon units.
Players in VR can hold on to a certain troop to make it spawn faster.
When this is done no other vehicle charges. So be careful. There are
multiple commanders to play through. Each of them has different
strengths and weaknesses. They also have sound bytes. Some are funny,
and some are just meh. I had fun playing League of War VR Arena. I hope
this game matures into the physical copy realm.
