I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download
code for Maldita Castilla EX on the Xbox One. This game pays tribute to
Ghost'n'Goblins. There are many similarities between the two games.
Maldita Castilla EX is extremely difficult, frustrating, and has
numerous cheap hits. Maldita Castilla EX only allows the player to take
a couple of hits. Bosses are tough.
Graphically Maldita Castilla EX looks like an older game. Maldita
Castilla EX fits into the newly made retro video games. The main
difference is Maldita Castilla EX is on the Xbox One. I wonder if
Maldita Castilla EX could be burned to a cartridge that would play on an
older system? I failed to find any physical copies of Maldita Castilla
EX. Maybe it will follow Shovel Knight to retail.
Maldita Castilla EX has all kinds of evil and demonic creatures in it.
We are a knight that is fighting all of them for God and country. I love
seeing the reference to God in Maldita Castilla EX. Maldita Castilla EX
has blood, gore, and plenty of death. There is a Satanic ritual in the
beginning of Maldita Castilla EX to get all of the demons into the human
realm.
Maldita Castilla EX feels like an old arcade game to me. We can continue
as many times as we want. It will take multiple tries to get past any of
the levels in Maldita Castilla EX. This home console video game saves
after every three levels are beaten. We have two levels and then a boss.
I did not beat one level in Maldita Castilla EX in my first attempt
ever. No matter how many times I tried.
I got a headache from playing Maldita Castilla EX. Probably due to the
difficulty. Hardcore gamers are the appropriate audience for Maldita
Castilla EX. I loved seeing Christian symbols in Maldita Castilla EX.
The music in Maldita Castilla EX is okay. The download size of Maldita
Castilla EX is really small. Others here at Family Friendly Gaming were
better at Maldita Castilla EX than I am. They still struggled to beat
the levels.
