Aqua Moto Racing Utopia
It has been some time since Family Friendly Gaming has reviewed a
game from Zordix. We all remember them fondly. I am pleased to see the
release of Aqua Moto Racing Utopia on the Playstation 4. Aqua Moto
Racing Utopia only comes in the digital downloadable format. It took a
couple of hours to download the nine plus gigs of this aquatic racing
video game. There are trick levels too.
Aqua Moto Racing Utopia contains Championship, Single Event, Online, Local Multiplayer, Tutorial and Profile. There are three divisions in Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. They are Runabout, Ski, and Free Style). The first two of those divisions are buoy races, and the last one is where we do tricks. There are plenty of tricks that can be done in Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. Some of them are easier to pull off than others.
Families will need to invest some time in Aqua Moto Racing Utopia to get good. Why? How? Okay, here is what is what. Race to earn money. Then use the money to buy a better wave rider. Families should also learn the race tracks with each time they race them. I thought Aqua Moto Racing Utopia was a bit hard at first. Once I improved my vehicle races got easier. I should also mention that Family Friendly Gaming was provided a super secret code to unlock everything. We did not use it right away though.
The CPU characters can race dirty. I lost track how many times they made me miss a buoy, or they turned me off my racing line. Note you can only miss three buoys before you are disqualified. That gives you last place. I also found out that Aqua Moto Racing Utopia does not let you just cut major corners and skip certain buoys to gain an advantage. I lost another race having to go back because I was not able to use one of my misses in that fashion.
There are mini games in the local multiplayer of Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. They are aqua moto hockey, keep the flag, king of the hill, and duckling mama. There is also freestyle, leisure, and a custom race. The boost has to be completely full in Aqua Moto Racing Utopia to be used. I tried to use partial boost to win races and Aqua Moto Racing Utopia would not let me.
I like Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. It is a fun racer that reminds me of Wave Race. I just wish there were major races without all of those buoys. They can be a real pain at times. Especially when the computer knocks me out of my perfect turn that was giving me boost. The graphics in Aqua Moto Racing Utopia are good. The music and voices are okay. The stunts are deep and cool to see. I also liked being able to customize my own character.
