Maya The Bee Movie

Maya The Bee Movie is a cute family friendly film about finding your role in the world. Maya The Bee Movie also teaches us to cooperate instead of fight. Too bad the real life animals do not act this way. In fact in nature bees and hornets will have fights to the death. Maya The Bee Movie avoids punishment no matter the infraction. All are shown mercy no matter what they did (like try to kill the queen).

There are numerous fun, cool, fresh, and neat characters in Maya The Bee Movie. From the moth that likes to go in circles, to the out of touch ant characters. Maya starts very self centered in the beginning of Maya The Bee Movie. She grows as she explores, and learns to think of others before herself. She does use deceit to try and stop a war between the bees and hornets. One that she was partially to blame for creating.

Maya The Bee Movie starts very light. The wonder of exploring the new world from a babies perspective is spot on accurate. This is the best part of Maya The Bee Movie in my opinion. She is learning about the world, and does not want to be constrained by the structure. She does eventually learn there is always some structure, and she finds her place in the hive.

There are a few moments of peril in Maya The Bee Movie. The insects are in peril from wind, bats, frogs, spiders, and more. Those moments are generally over very quickly, and the insects help one another out. Lives of bugs are saved on multiple occasions. The attacks in the war between the bees and hornets is more silly than actually dangerous.

Family Friendly Gaming was provided the 3D Blu-ray + Blu-ray + DVD version of Maya The Bee Movie. The bonus features are An Interview With Maya, Dancing With Bees episode, Blooper Reel, and Trailers. It takes around eighty-seven minutes to watch Maya The Bee Movie. I enjoyed Maya The Bee Movie and so did my youngest son. I hope to see sequels in the future.
