It has been a couple of years since we have reviewed a Tetris video game here at Family Friendly Gaming. Which is a shame because Tetris games have historically done well with Family Friendly Gaming. Thankfully Ubisoft picked up the license.

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for the Nintendo 3DS version of Tetris Ultimate. This hand held video game is also sold in a physical format which is what we are recommending to Family Friendly Gaming Nation. If you like Tetris then you are in for a treat.

Tetris Ultimate contains a variety of local and online modes that families can get into. There is Marathon, Endless, Ultra, Sprint, and Battle. Within each of these modes is adaptability. Want to start at a higher level? Tetris Ultimate lets you do that. Which I personally appreciate.

The graphics in Tetris Ultimate are a bit on the small side. Which is to be expected since this is on the small screen. Man I wish Nintendo would catch up to Sony in terms of cross-platform video game play. Tetris Ultimate will be releasing on the PS Vita, Playstation 4, Personal Computer, and Xbox One.

The music in Tetris Ultimate is mellow yet exciting. It can be hard to explain. Tetris Ultimate has Tetris music. If you know Tetris, then you know what I mean. If you don't then you have to listen to some of the music to understand. I bring my best game when I am playing Tetris Ultimate.

Tetris Ultimate helps teach us pattern recognition, and allows us the ability to think problems through faster and faster. Eventually everyone reaches their limit. Or maybe that is just me. You might be able to endlessly succeed at Tetris Ultimate.

Tetris Ultimate is good solid Tetris action. I enjoy the classic block structure, the colors, music, and burning through level after level. The presentation in Tetris Ultimate has a Tron feel to it. Which works for this franchise quite nicely. I recommend families look for Tetris Ultimate at their local retailers.
