We Sing Pop

The first thing I noticed about We Sing Pop was all the descriptors. I know the ESRB has a long history of mistakes, so I thought all those problems had to be a mistake. After playing We Sing Pop I found out that the ESRB was right. All of the issues they brought up are in this Wii game.

I have to ask why some of the content is included. We are talking about a singing game. Why is there partial nudity, mild blood, and mild violence? I understand why there would be lyrical issues with a singing game. But many of the others. It does not fit the genre in my opinion.

The biggest reason We Sing Pop has these problems is it shows the music videos. We watch the official MTV kind of music videos while singing to the songs. That is what hurts We Sing Pop for families. There are numerous gyrations and other images I do not want my grandchildren seeing. I can only imagine how parents will feel.

The range of styles of the thirty songs in We Sing Pop is limited to the pop and rap charts. Much heavier on the pop side. There is some range in terms of when the songs were released. I had only heard a few of the songs in We Sing Pop, so most of them were new to me. Like so many others at Family Friendly Gaming, I enjoy the Christian praise and worship songs in my own time.

Up to four family members can sing along with We Sing Pop as long as you have four Logitech USB Microphones. We Sing Pop has some neat replay features, and singing lessons to help you improve your vocal performances. We Sing Pop will also break down your statistic to let you know how you performed.

The rap scoring portion of We Sing Pop is different than the regular singing portion. I was intrigued by this as I sang in this Wii game. At times We Sing Pop seemed very accurate in recording my tune. Other times I could not get into the large scoring box. It would go above and below back and forth. I tried holding the microphone different ways to improve it.
