Urban Trial Freestyle
SCORE: 82

Urban
Trial Freestyle has made it to the Nintendo 3DS from the PS Vita/PS3
platform. Sure it was a game Sony fanboys could enjoy. But Tate
Multimedia knew it could be so much more, if just given the chance.
Nintendo has given Urban Trial Freestyle that chance. So rev that motor
and get ready for some crazy tracks on your 3DS.

Urban Trial Freestyle hobbles all kinds of things together. We may go
through a cylinder concrete block down to a moving train. We might have
to jump over a car rolling down a hill. We may have to do a complete
flip, and land flat while going backwards. The level of insanity of the
stunts in Urban Trial Freestyle is extremely high.

We start out Urban Trial Freestyle staring at this dude with no shirt
on. Thankfully after a couple of races I had the money to buy him a
jacket. Which is the first thing I bought because I did not want to look
at that shirtless wonder anymore. Plus it makes no logical sense. Why
would a guy doing such crazy stunts wear no protection on the upper
		portion of his body? Awkward!

The music in Urban Trial Freestyle is upbeat, and will keep you awake.
Which is important in these adjustable environments. Not everything in
Urban Trial Freestyle is stable. That threw me at first, but I adapted
my style to match the environments. Also be careful of going too fast in
certain areas. I won't spoil anymore than that. Play Urban Trial
Freestyle and you will know what I mean.

The 3D looks neat in Urban Trial Freestyle. I wound up turning it off
because I wanted to focus on controlling my bike. The minute adjustments
I could make are very impressive. Many times I could recover from
mistakes before my guy hit the ground. Which is important in this kind
		of a game.

Crashes are a part of Urban Trial Freestyle, and where most of the
violent content comes from. Gamers can hurt their racer in a wide array
of ways. I also felt bad when I made a mistake, and he landed on his
head. Or when he stopped and the bike kept going. I used these mistakes
as learning experiences. The goal was to get more stars the next time I
		ran the course.

Urban Trial Freestyle has the “it” factor. It is a fun little
downloadable game that will interest and entertain from start to finish.
Being able to race for stunts or time is a nice feature. It allows Urban
Trial Freestyle to be approachable by more members of the family. At
least the ones ten years and older.
