The Little Mermaid has made it to Blu-ray and Digital Copy in the form of The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition. This controversial movie sparks debate and division to this day. Some see it as a story about true love. Others see it as a rebellious daughter who is rewarded for her disobedience.

Since Ariel is a mermaid she does not wear much clothing. Her belly button is shown clearly. Which makes me wonder - would a mermaid actually have a belly button? I suppose I do not need to spark a new controversial debate concerning this movie.

In case you are unfamiliar with this movie it is about a little mermaid (youngest daughter of the king of the sea) who is obsessed with the surface world. She saves the life of a prince, makes a deal with a witch, and works very hard to pursue the man she loves.

Along the way we hear memorable songs, watch sea creatures dance, and feel the tension certain characters face. The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition provides us with additional bonus features and extra content that has not been available to the public before.

The new music video with Carly Rae Jepsen, and the never before seen delete character headline all of the bonus features on The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition. There is also Howard's Lecture - Music in Movies, Behind the Scenes, Carb-E-OKE - Sing Along, Disney Intermission, and more.

If the lack of clothing and/or rebellious portion of the storyline bother you then I will completely respect that. For families that are not bothered by those things, The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition is a good pick up. There is depth to this package that will last for many years.
