The Croods Prehistoric Party
SCORE: 83
Hand held versions of games are generally
different than their home console counterparts. Especially when we are
talking movie based games. The Croods Prehistoric Party on the Nintendo
3DS is not that different from the Wii U/Wii version. The biggest
difference is the hand held version is a single player experience.
The Croods Prehistoric Party on the 3DS impressed me by having the same
mini games in it. The main area is also similar. There is definitely
less in the hand held version but it is not a completely different game.
The 3DS effects in The Croods Prehistoric Party did not really impress
me. The characters look decent - not as good as the home console version
of course.
I love the music in The Croods Prehistoric Party. I did not run into
sound bytes while playing the Nintendo 3DS version of The Croods
Prehistoric Party which is a good thing in my book. Check out my Wii
U/Wii review for a complete understanding of the issues represented in
the sound bytes.
The controls in the Nintendo 3DS version of The Croods Prehistoric Party
are also the same. So if you happen to play multiple versions of the
game (like I did), then you can expect to hit the ground running. This
is a great way to take this game on the go and practice the thirty mini
games.
Like the home console version we earn prehistoric points. These are used
to purchase additional content like art work from the Dreamworks movie.
This is the biggest reason families will replay The Croods Prehistoric
Party. That and to win at the various mini games found within this
cartridge.
