The Aquabats Super Show Season One

I have seen some odd television shows and movies in my life. I have played some strange video games in my life. The Aquabats Super Show Season One stands out as the oddest and strangest thing I have ever been exposed to. It is difficult to classify this show. It is tough to find anything like it.

There are five men who play in a band, and tour the country. They also are super heroes that fight monsters. Okay they are sort of super heroes because too often they scream like little girls and run away. They usually find a way to save the day, along with finding time to watch cartoons.

The Aquabats Super Show Season One is mainly live action. It is broken up by a couple of cartoons. One of these cartoons tells a story from episode to episode. Don't worry if you miss one because each episode starts with a recap. The cartoons have nothing to do with the live action episode. The Aquabats also break into song in various episodes.

I found quite a few moments of laughter in The Aquabats Super Show Season One. Please pay attention to the age rating as there is content not good for kids. This is more of a teenager show in my opinion. There are some gross parts where things like ooze and slime are present.

The Aquabats Super Show Season One has a spiritual side as well. There is a sun spirit that gives one of the characters an invisible bird. There is also communication with the underworld, and falling in love with someone who is actually dead. One episode shows monsters are really not that bad. Another pays homage to ghosts.

The Aquabats Super Show Season One is a quirky odd show with some jamming music. The main theme song is stuck in my head, and will probably give me nightmares. As will that painted on mustache. A couple of the Aquabats have super powers - things like super speed, growing really big, or being a robot.
