Star Trek Trexels

Star Trek Trexels is an app that sells for $2.99. Once you start to play it you realize it plays exactly like a free app. You know building stuff and needing resources. Except those resources are nearly impossible to acquire. Unless you devote the rest of your life to just this app. Money can be paid to get those resources in the form of in-app purchases.

Star Trek Trexels is split into two games. There is the ship building portion. Players build up their starship one room at a time. There are missions that players can send the crew off to. Here you have a mini game where you tap cubes and use them to attack of heal. Science missions are similar with different words used.

Players can also take their starship out in a shooting gallery kind of mini game. Their ship flies from left to right and things like space pirates, comets, space debris and more float around. Set phasers to blow them all up. Then hold down on orbs left behind to add one, two, or three to a resource. Which is lame when you need five hundred to complete the next mission or room.

The away missions get boring really quickly. How many times can we tap on orbs, and select attack. While players are doing this characters are shooting at one another. They all miss until you have completed the charging of a bar, or you get defeated. Then we watch our guys/gals shoot them.

Star Trek Trexels goes for a retro feel. They are selling this horrible looking game with that. It actually makes sense to say that, and Family Friendly Gaming has told companies to try that. Classic Star Trek sounds can be heard in Star Trek Trexels.

Trekkies may get into Star Trek Trexels. They are the only ones who may have the time to wait for rooms to be built, and to spend countless hours playing the same mini games over and over again. Plenty of people will label Star Trek Trexels as a money grab. They have to pay for that Star Trek license somehow.
