Any of the Family Friendly Gaming Nation members remember Madcoaster? Did you like Madcoaster? If you answered yes to those two questions then you are going to be extremely excited to hear about Snoopy Coaster. This game is in essence Madcoaster but done with Peanuts characters.
The whole Charlie Brown feel to Snoopy Coaster is immediately evident. The characters do more than sit in their carts too. They will react to different things. Charlie Brown will turn green if you go through too many loops. Lucy will get red faced if we are not collecting enough coins and more.
Snoopy Coaster does not stop with the visuals. We hear different catch phrases from characters throughout this hand held game. I will acknowledge it can get old hearing the same thing said so often. But it is still really neat to hear their voices, and their input. I enjoyed hearing Linus talk about his blanket.
Players collect coins, and special items along the way. The levels start slow enough where tapping to jump is pretty simple. Later on the speed picks up and it can be more difficult. Coins are then used to purchase upgrades and power ups. Snoopy Coaster is a bit heavy handed on the in app purchases, but it can be ignored if you do not hit the buttons to purchase coins or continuation items.
Expect to go through levels multiple times to earn enough coins to upgrade anything in Snoopy Coaster. There are goals to reach for players to level up. They start easy enough. Expect them to grow in challenge as you progress through Snoopy Coaster. If you liked Madcoaster, or Jetpack Joyride you will want to check out Snoopy Coaster.
Peanuts fans will get a real kick out of Snoopy Coaster. This is a
solid game based on that license. A lot of work was put into making this
a Peanuts game. I feel very blessed to have been able to play and review
Snoopy Coaster on the iPhone/iPod Touch platform.
