Ski Jumping Pro

Vivid Games has been quietly releasing a neat ski jumping franchise for some years now. Ski Jumping Pro is the most recent release to enter the Family Friendly Gaming Nation. In my opinion this is the best one yet. Families can easily get into this game, and start ski jumping.

I know some in the United States of America may have a raised eye brow when we are talking about ski jumping. But please bear with me, and Ski Jumping Pro. This app is more fun than you may think. Especially in the career mode. Quick jumping is a great way to get a good feel for how this hand held game plays.

Ski Jumping Pro has one simple and easy to learn control. A circle will start large and shrink towards a smaller circle. When the two meet the circles will turn green. At this point the player will tap the screen. The better you do with the tap, the better you will do with the jump. There are three points this happens; when the player starts, when they jump off the ramp, and when they land.

The visuals in Ski Jumping Pro are absolutely amazing. It is stunning how good this game looks. Especially when we talk the snow effects as we speed down the ramp. Ski Jumping Pro is shown in a first person perspective which is something I love to see in sports games.

The music is nice, and fits the theme of ski jumping. It exhibits what a high quality sports app sounds like. Players are scored for how well they do, and how they rank against the computer controlled characters (in career mode). Ski Jumping Pro includes more than enough levels to keep players busy for some time.

I found Ski Jumping Pro to be a blast to play. The controls are simple, and accessible by anyone of any skill set. There is also a harder mode, but I enjoyed keeping it in casual. Vivid Games did a wonderful job with Ski Jumping Pro. I hope they continue to improve this franchise in coming years.
