Farming Simulator 3D
farmers. I like the farming industry. They till the soil, plant the
seeds, and harvest the crops. Why is this important to me? Because I
like to eat. Especially fruits and vegetables. Farming Simulator 3D is a
Nintendo 3DS game that teaches a healthy respect of the farming
Farming Simulator 3D is part time management game. We learn how to harvest the crops, deposit it into the right container, till the soil, and plant the seeds. We can also purchase better equipment to make our jobs easier. I am so thankful we do not need to micro-manage every little thing in this hand held game either.
Farming Simulator 3D has a really neat auto function. This allows players to swap to another vehicle. Lets say you are tilling one field, well you can set that vehicle on auto, and then go over to another field and harvest the crops. Sure it can take some memorization skills to recall what all is going on, but it simulates having multiple workers on the farm.
I was curious to see how this Personal Computer based franchise would do on the Nintendo 3DS. It does a really good job in most areas. The price is a bit higher than I would expect, and there is a real lacking in terms of a tutorial. I had to try multiple things to figure out how to hook on certain pieces of equipment. The same goes for swapping over to different vehicles. Farming Simulator 3D tells the player what to do, just not how to do it.
All in all Farming Simulator 3D is a solid title that expands the library of the 3DS quite nicely. I enjoyed the simulated farming in this game. It is my personal hope and prayer that some young people take an interest in the farming industry thanks to Farming Simulator 3D. At the very least they could plant their own gardens in their back yards.
