Sony felt so bad about getting hacked, and having all that customer information stolen that they are giving away games to those who will come back to their network. There were not many good games for families that Family Friendly Gaming has not already covered. So I decided to go with inFAMOUS. Sony announced a sequel to this ‘T’ for Teen rated video game. Your character is a super powered man who gains more skills as the game progresses. Lightning is his main power, and he can be devastating with it.

The graphics in inFAMOUS are grainy. The camera can be a pain. In fact that camera gave me a migraine. The core of inFAMOUS is violence. There is blood, gore, and death. Humans in inFAMOUS look generally realistic, and I felt bad about the countless murders that are in this game. The characters do animate realistically. I can tell there was some attention to detail there.

Why do games that want to label themselves as epic have such bad language? Is that part of what they try and define as epic? The foul mouths in inFAMOUS are nauseating. They could use a good soap cleansing of their tongues. The music is powerful, and the voice acting elicits certain responses. For me those responses were all negative.

There are various trophies that can be earned while playing this Playstation 3 home console video game. I can not see many reasons to replay inFAMOUS. To be honest there are few reasons to ever play this ultra violent video game. I got this game for free and feel like my time was wasted. Maybe you can learn from my mistake and avoid inFAMOUS.

The game play in inFAMOUS frustrated me to no end. Jumping on certain things was nearly impossible. The game explains some aspects of the game, and others are go up there and push that down. I kept asking myself how I was supposed to do that. Experimentation led me eventually to the solution. Other times I had to seek help because of how irritatingly difficult the task was. Constantly trying to redo the same thing over and over again is not my idea of fun. Plus the computer character is constantly whining about you not completing its insanely difficult task.

The main lesson I got from inFAMOUS is how to worship death. Make no bones about it - this is one disturbed video game. The industry keeps pushing farther and deeper into darkness. I know there is a sequel, but in my opinion it could have been left on the drawing board.
