Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 is one of
the slickest looking games I have ever seen. It is the first exercise
title we have played on the Wii U. It has some really good points, and
some points for concern. I will get into all of that in just a bit. The
Wii U Gamepad is used for menu screens.
The main game play aspect to Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 is
performed with Wii Remotes. This can lead to some problems. The biggest
issue is it is way to easy to cheat. Now I know anyone who does not
fully perform the fully body moves are only hurting themselves. Thing is
Kinect has shown us what it is like to exercise when the game can see
our full body movements. After seeing that, Your Shape Fitness Evolved
2013 feels like a bit of a letdown.
The lyrical issues in Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 are another part
of the letdown for me. I do not mind the heavy emphasis on dance in Your
Shape Fitness Evolved 2013. There are songs in Your Shape Fitness
Evolved 2013 I do not want my children to hear. I believe songs that are
more family friendly could have been chosen.
Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 is an all around fitness game. It
includes recipes, advice on losing weight, and a focus on community.
What community? Yes. See Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 lets you give
and accept challenges from other players. You can compare yourself to
others around the world.
Those interested in zen concepts can pick them up in Your Shape Fitness
Evolved 2013. Those ideas have never interested me personally, but I
feel it is important to bring up. Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 feels
like a Wii game, looks like an Xbox 360 game, and has Wii U menu
controls.
If you play Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 the way it is intended to be
played then you can expect results. The exercise screens have some neat
effects if you can give them some attention. The narrator offers helpful
advice in how to perform the exercise. Some of the trainers wear Zumba
Fitness kind of attire. There are enough unlockables for the coins
players earn for playing.
Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013 keeps the work outs very short and
manageable. I had to join a few together to get a full workout. Or what
I am used to as a full work out. Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013
definitely contains more positives to it than negatives.
