The Splatters

I thank God every single day for planting me in the video game industry. I get to see and play so many innovative titles. I marvel on a weekly basis at the intelligent designs of so many video games. I never know what new interesting idea will cross my desk, but I am always willing to see it. The Splatters is an amazing Xbox 360 downloadable game.

The concept of The Splatters is very simple. There are there liquidy characters that players launch towards these orbs (many times it looks like a grouping of grapes). The character bursts and the liquid douses the orbs. Get all of the orbs and you complete the level. Do some tricks along the way and you can earn even more points which leads to more stars.

I was concerned about the character explosions at first, but soon realized they are like jello with eyes on them. I can not equate the characters in The Splatters to any real life creature we know. The best I can do is a water balloon. The most important part of The Splatters is to get the right colored characters on the same colored orbs.

The Splatters does not make it easy for players either. There are some intense challenges in this Xbox 360 home console title. But there is also an assist button that can show the player how to solve a puzzle. This really helped alleviate any frustration. The Splatters also teaches the players new concepts like launching a second time while already flying through the air.

There are multiple ways to play The Splatters, and multiple modes to keep families busy. My one complaint is I beat the main mode in a few hours. I had a blast playing this game, and earning all those badges. I come away from The Splatters very thankful that some very creative minds put this amazing title together.

I learned various tricks in The Splatters to complete the levels. I also learned to completely spray an area with liquid to connect with all of the orbs. I hope there are sequels to The Splatters in the future because a game this fun could turn into a franchise easily. It was a real pleasure for me to play and review The Splatters on the Xbox 360.
