My favorite cartoon as a little girl was
the Smurfs. I felt like indulging in a trip down memory lane with The
Smurfs and the Magic Flute. This General Audiences movie puts us in
medieval times where we find the Smurfs on an adventure. Yes the
adventure does revolve around a Magic Flute. A flute that
gets abused by a human.
I had not seen The Smurfs and the Magic Flute in a long time. So I did
not remember much about it. For example, I did not realize the beginning
was all about humans in a castle. I kept wondering when we were going to
get to the Smurfs. It is a Smurfs movie after all. Where are they? Once
we got the to Smurfs is made a little more sense.
There is one side effect some people can have after watching The Smurfs
and the Magic Flute. It can be smurfing to explain what that smurf is
though. Some people find themselves using smurf as a word in sentences.
The Smurfs and the Magic Flute carries some catchy tunes in it.
Especially in terms of flute music.
The magic flute can make people dance until they fall asleep in The
Smurfs and the Magic Flute. The Pied Piper storyline shows different
reactions to a flute that can make everyone dance. If you had that kind
of power, how would you use it? Would you help others? Or would you use
it for your own selfish gain? One characters in The Smurfs and the Magic
Flute uses it to steal money from others.
Families will be interested in a couple aspects of The Smurfs and the
Magic Flute. There are characters who drink in various parts. The magic
flute makes characters dance around. Some characters bounce more than
others. All in all I find The Smurfs and the Magic Flute to be safe for
families. The Smurfs are helpful, kind, and considerate.
Shout Factory is providing for families with releases like The Smurfs
and the Magic Flute. Smurf fans will love all of the bonus features.
Most of them require a basic reading ability, and explain various
aspects of the Smurf universe, and Smurf history. it was a nice treat
for me to be able to play and review The Smurfs and the Magic Flute.
