Streetbike Full Blast
SCORE: 82
Streetbike Full Blast reminds me of so
many motorcycle racing games from the past. In some ways Streetbike Full
Blast is like a safer, and more family friendly Road Rash. Players get
on a motorcycle and go racing through long levels that include traffic.
Players can crash in Streetbike Full Blast. The character and bike
separate in a laughable fashion. Thankfully Streetbike Full Blast gets
us right back into the racing action.
The graphics in Streetbike Full Blast remind me of a coin. There are two
sides. When I was flying by cars and other racers, Streetbike Full Blast
looked great. When I crashed into something and went by the same things
at a slower speed, they did not look so great. Bikes and racers look
great on the menu screens. They seemed to have been downgraded slightly
inside the races.
Part of the issue with Streetbike Full Blast is it is trying to do too
much on this hand held machine. When the technology of the machine is
there, Streetbike Full Blast will look great. The music in this app is
alive. It is part techno, and part heavy metal. I guarantee you will
stay awake while playing Streetbike Full Blast. The turbo sound is
great, as is collecting items.
Players collect money while racing in Streetbike Full Blast. This is
used to purchase better bikes. Turbo items can also be collected but
they are used inside the races only. There are enough bikes and race
tracks to warrant the ninety-nine cent purchase. Especially if you are a
motorcycle racing fan. Please do not try this kind of racing in real
life. It would lead to either a hospital or morgue visit.
There is a certain groove to Streetbike Full Blast. If you can find that
groove then you will blast right into first place. If you make too many
mistakes then you will struggle in last place. I noticed that Streetbike
Full Blast rewards perseverance. I had problems with the first lap of
almost every race. Then I had this major come from behind victory. It
was exciting to say the least.
The lesson in Streetbike Full Blast is to get into first place. This is
done by racing fast, avoid other vehicles, and keeping your speed down
in the curves. I had fun playing Streetbike Full Blast. I hope to see
this franchise continued and improved in the coming years. It was a
pleasure for me to play and review this iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad game.
