Robot Race
SCORE: 85
Robot Race is exactly what it sounds like
it is. This is a racing game done with robots. These robots stand up,
and sort of rollerblade through the levels. They can boost, jump, and
fire weapons at one another. I know this may sound like Wipeout, but it
is more along the lines of Mario Kart.
The race tracks look good in Robot Race. We have to deal with a variety
of violent images. Things like shooting weapons at other robots, running
over mines, and hitting obstacles. I loved the virus attack. It left all
these '1's and '0's all over the screen. It was temporary.
Robot Race does a nice job with a variety of visual effects in terms of
the race tracks. There is some pixelating in certain areas of the
tracks. I loved the see through tracks as they banked to the left or
right. Robot Race provides multiple paths in each of the race tracks. In
certain spots our robots will fly which was a neat touch.
Players earn crystals in Robot Race. These can be used to purchase
additional robot racers, new skins, and other such unlockable content.
Robot Race also includes badges for performing a variety of diverse
tasks. I feel that Robot Race is worth the price of admission. Family

Robot Race is a fun little racer that works on this hand held platform.
The two different control schemes provide for family members with
different styles. I came away from Robot Race very impressed. I smile at
the creativity behind this iPhone/iPod Touch video game.
