Konami Announces Puzzle Chasers for Facebook

In Puzzle Chasers, each level of the game starts with an incomplete puzzle. The player selects an empty space on the puzzle board and is presented with two to five random pieces that they need to pick to fit in the space. If correct, the piece is placed to help complete the picture. There's a limited amount of time to complete the puzzle and players can follow the story or repeat any puzzle they have completed by looking in their journal. To add to the difficulty, puzzle pieces are randomized so the player will never play the same puzzle twice.

Rayman Origins Rayman Origins Rayman Origins

When it comes to Rayman, we have learned one important thing. Expect the unexpected. Rayman Origins has a quirky cast of characters, strange locations, and a storyline that makes sense (well sort of). This home console game is on the Wii, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. Family Friendly Gaming was blessed with the Xbox 360 version for this review.

Rayman Origins starts out with Rayman and his friends sleeping happily in a tree. They are also sleeping noisily. This annoys an old lady below them who can hear them. She tries a few things to get them to stop being such a nuisance. Eventually she throws everything at them. This winds up with all of them becoming trapped.

Have no fear because Rayman is here. He escapes and your journey begins. This involves collecting Lums and freeing the Electoons. The Electoons are needed to drive away the nightmares. Just collect them, because the more you collect the more you unlock. Which means you get more for your money. Okay?

Visually Rayman Origins is something to see. I am still in awe of how great the graphics look in this platformer. All of the characters have neat little animations, and great polish. There is action violence as players punch, kick, and stomp on enemies. Enemies inflate like a balloon and eventually pop. The fairies that are found in Rayman Origins are dressed very provocatively.

The music in Rayman Origins will get stuck in your head. It is still in mine. Which is a good thing because I enjoy the happy sounds in Rayman Origins. Collect certain items and the Lums will turn red and start singing a fun little song. This is one of the reasons I kept replaying Rayman Origins. I loved hearing that song. Bear in mind not everyone shares my enthusiasm.

Ubisoft baffles me some days. I have no idea how they crammed so much content into Rayman Origins. There are characters and levels to unlock. Almost every level contains numerous secrets. Four family members can enjoy this home console game at the same time. After certain skills are acquired it makes sense to go back to previous levels to use them to reach previously in-accessible areas.

The controls in Rayman Origins are spot on. This game is one of those that casual gamers can go through and enjoy. Hardcore gamers can fuss and fight trying to get every last Electoon. Multiple characters can be played with which is a very nice touch. I learned to fight off bad dreams thanks to Rayman Origins. It was a pleasure to play and review Rayman Origins.
