Pony Trails

Chillingo has more hits under it belt than a boxing match. They may have an off week here or there, but they consistently bring quality titles to the market. I like many of the Chillingo apps. So much so that I want them to send more games to the Nintendo 3DS, and Playstation Vita.

Pony Trails is the latest game where Chillingo expands horizons. We go on horse rides through trails on the horses. We can also care for the horses after getting them dirty on a ride. There are a couple of areas with multiple paths. Families can really enjoy Pony Trails for one penny under a dollar.

Pony Trails looks great. The large models look fantastic. The paths, animals, and trees look exceptionally good on this platform. I am sure this app could look even better on more powerful systems. Pony Trails is limited on the horses, and ranch. We do not see much outside of horse care, and paths.

I am a little disappointed in how difficult it is to turn around on the paths. Families can exit the trail from either the beginning or the end. Which is needed since we can take a side path and wind up turned around after it. Taking pictures on the trails is a neat little feature in Pony Trails.

I love the different goals, and quests that are in Pony Trails. There are different horses to interact with, and different trails. Pony Trails can feel like there is not much content. But I look at what is in there, and am impressed. The trails are long, and diverse. There are a variety of different animals to see and take pictures of.

The sounds in Pony Trails are surprisingly realistic. This ranges from the horses to the different animals we run across. I feel that Pony Trails is more than worth its entrance fee. I had a blast riding horses along these trails, and collecting the coins. Chillingo has another hit on their hands in the form of Pony Trails.
