It is always a blessing
to be offered one of the mega video game releases. I was offered Order
Up!! on the Playstation 3, and was beside myself. This home console game
takes an older Wii game and spruces it up for Playstation Move. Families
can enjoy Order Up!! with the regular control, or use the Move and Eye.
I tried playing Order Up!! both ways, and found the Move Wand is the
better choice.
The characters in Order Up!! have a cel shaded style to them. I think
they look pretty good this way. The food looks very realistic, as does
the way we cook it. Order Up!! can teach the basics of cooking just like
Cooking Mama. Each recipe has various real steps that have to be
performed. Players can mess up certain steps and still complete the
dish. Each step is graded and impacts the overall tip left by the
customer.
The music in Order Up!! is fresh, alive, and upbeat. I love how positive
Order Up!! is. The goal is to get a five star restaurant. This is done
by creating good dishes for your customers. Order Up!! teaches how much
fun it can be to serve others through food. Order Up!! has a spot of
humor in it from time to time. This home console game put a smile on my
face on more than one occasion.
So you have played the Wii version, why would you want the Playstation 3
version? There is brand new content, and Order Up!! is 3D compatible.
Yes sir or ma'am. Order Up!! can be played in 3D. How cool is that?
Order Up!! contains a dizzying array of recipes, characters, and
content. You will get your moneys worth out of Order Up!!.
The game play with the Move Wand controller is perfect. I was whipping
through recipes and making those customers happy over and over again. I
felt like Order Up!! is a great training tool for those needing to get
into that service mindset. Order Up!! is playable with the regular PS3
controller but it is not nearly as good.
Order Up!! earns the Family Friendly Gaming seal of approval. How cool
is that? I love the lesson of service in Order Up!!. I love how this
game is clean fun. There is no macabre content in Order Up!!. This
Playstation 3 game is safe for the entire family. I hope to see sequels
to Order Up!! in the future. Maybe the Wii U.
