Konami Announces Puzzle Chasers for Facebook

In Puzzle Chasers, each level of the game starts with an incomplete puzzle. The player selects an empty space on the puzzle board and is presented with two to five random pieces that they need to pick to fit in the space. If correct, the piece is placed to help complete the picture. There's a limited amount of time to complete the puzzle and players can follow the story or repeat any puzzle they have completed by looking in their journal. To add to the difficulty, puzzle pieces are randomized so the player will never play the same puzzle twice.

One Epic Game

One Epic Game earns points for such an epic name for a game. This iPhone/iPod Touch game is a run and gun. In case your not versed on that term, let me explain. This is a game with a character that is running from left to the right. He shoots enemies as they come up to him. One Epic Game includes a mountain of jumping, and shooting.

One Epic Game is a game that mocks itself and the genre. You know I was talking to our EIC recently about the younger generation mocking things. I wonder if there is a connection between mocking in video games and their being disrespectful to their elders. Someone should do a study. Anyways the characters in One Epic Game insult one another, and make fun of what is happening in the game.

Bad language is one of the problems with One Epic Game. I was pretty shocked to see some of it in this game. Then I saw it had in essence a 'T' for Teen rating. Although Apple decides kids at the age of twelve are ready for this kind of content. Always pushing for younger ages. Thankfully Chillingo allows players to skip the cut scenes with most of the bad language.

One Epic Game is a violent game with some blood in it. Players wade through hundreds of bodies. This includes zombies, Nazis, aliens, knights, and more. After a while all the murdering becomes common place. I did not care what I was murdering in One Epic Game. I just knew it was between me and the end of the level.

Speaking of the end of the levels in One Epic Game. Could they be any farther from the beginning. These levels are long and very difficult. The jump button is on the left and the shooting button is on the right. Just don't shoot things like cows because the game will deduct points. The levels look randomly generated.

Expect to jump in One Epic Game - a lot. The music in this iPhone/iPod Touch game is very upbeat and energetic. Which is the silver lining in this storm cloud. I would say that adults only are the ones in the family who should play One Epic Game. I do not see this game for kids in any way, shape, or form.
