Nat Geo America The Wild

Nat Geo America The Wild can be described in one short sentence: "This is TV you play." That phrase is repeated at a high frequency in Nat Geo America The Wild. It is true though too. We get three opportunities to play for a few minutes in each thirty minute episode. This Xbox 360 Kinect game puts an animal head on us, and gives us arms like theirs too.

The eight episodes in Nat Geo America The Wild teach us about Grizzly Bears, Mountain Lions, Black Bears, Wolverines, Kodiak Bears, Wolves, Rams, and Owls. I noticed that Nat Geo America The Wild is very predator heavy, and definitely bear happy. We run across other animals in Nat Geo America The Wild like snakes and caribou.

Casey Anderson takes us through each episode teaching us all about Yellowstone National Park, and the animals. He is very animal friendly. In one episode he makes a controversial claim. He claims these animals are smarter than us. I took exception to that statement. He also calls certain creatures animal ambassadors. Like they are at the UN demanding sovereignty or something.

Many of our readers will notice the E10+ rating and wonder what is up with that. Well animals (especially predators shown in these episodes) kill other animals. After they kill them they eat them. We are treated to some of this behavior. Animals eating other animals may bother some people out there. It is part of nature and Nat Geo America The Wild does not shy away from it.

We do more watching in Nat Geo America The Wild than interacting. But going through multiple episodes back to back can become tiring. The mini games we play are only one part of how the game grades us. We also have to SNAP pictures and go on sidetracks. Sidetracks are small mini clips on something related to the episode.

At times I thought Casey Anderson was crazy. Getting in situations that could kill him in a heart beat are not wise in my opinion. Nor would I do anything like that - EVER! Nat Geo America The Wild references climate change as if it were fact. I am also confused as to why certain animals are protected and saved if they believe in survival of the fittest.

I ran into a couple of issues while playing Nat Geo America The Wild. SNAP does not always work. I had to walk up to the Kinect sensor and say the word to get it to work. Certain mini games were difficult or had control issues. All in all Nat Geo America The Wild is a wonderful experience. I enjoyed my time with this home console game. I appreciate that Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of Nat Geo America The Wild for this review.

Like Kinect Sesame Street TV, Nat Geo America The Wild also includes a one year pass. Naturalists will find their money well spent on Nat Geo America The Wild. This is also something that could be used in schools to help educate kids on these animals.
