NBA Baller Beats
SCORE: 82
Once in awhile I get an email asking me to
stop referencing my E3 experiences when writing reviews. The last person
even asked when I would stop. I will stop once my memories of games at
E3 is exhausted. I am sorry if that offends or bothers you. Other
readers enjoy reading about our teams E3 experiences.
NBA Baller Beats is a game that stuck out to us at E3 2012. The entire
concept of bouncing a basketball to a music game is an innovative and
novel idea. I am very thankful and highly blessed that Family Friendly
Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of NBA Baller Beats on the Xbox
360. This is a Kinect title.
The first thing about NBA Baller Beats is it will exhaust you. Event on
the easiest settings. This home console game had me doing things that
well I am not talented enough to do. What does that mean? Well it means
there was a potential for real life injuries thanks to NBA Baller Beats.
I lost the ball on more than one song.
I was really concerned about bouncing the basketball on the carpet. It
does bounce, and as long as you put enough force into your dribbling you
should be fine. Unless you have some really deep carpet. NBA Baller
Beats comes with a real life basketball. This is a major bonus because
you can take this outside to play some real world B-ball.
The one caveat to taking the basketball outside is you will probably be
gasping for breath after playing a couple of songs in NBA Baller Beats.
I let my sons try NBA Baller Beats, and there were not able to play it.
They understood the concept but were not skilled to actually play it.
Families will want to pay close attention to the song track listing in
NBA Baller Beats. There are songs in NBA Baller Beats that I will not
let my kids listen to. So you may want to keep that in mind. There are
songs we enjoy listening to. My advice is to look at the songs and
factor that into your decision.
NBA Baller Beats is a deceptive exercise home console video game. I love
how it helped me burn calories. My biggest complaint against NBA Baller
Beats is it is a difficult game. I would have liked it to be a bit
easier at the beginning and then turn up the heat. But maybe I am not
skilled enough at basketball.
