Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete Series
SCORE: 82
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete
Series is nineteen DVDs in a boxed set. It has been almost twenty years
since the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers started airing on television. It
became an International success, and has spawned different series since
then.
I took the opportunity to review Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The
Complete Series thanks to our friends over at Shout Factory. I have to
applaud them for putting together this package and releasing it to the
public. Fans of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will love this Complete
Series package.
There are two bonus feature DVDs in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The
Complete Series. These contained all kinds of interesting information
about the creation of this show. Things like looking back, the casting
process, Zedd's Monster Heads, Karate Club with the White Ranger, Power
Rangers Live The World Tour, and more.
I did some research on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as I watched
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete Series. There are quite a few
stories circulating about why certain cast members left, and when. I
paid close attention to how the bonus features addressed these, and who
did not participate in the look back. Maybe I read too much into it.
To the credit of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete Series they
did not hide some of their faults. They admitted the work conditions
were a meat grinder. They used different words but I understood what
they were saying. I can easily see some people wanting more money for
that much work.
The formula to the shows in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete
Series are pretty understandable. There is some live action story
element, then a monster is introduced. From there we have Power Rangers
fighting a monster. Finally they fight in giant robots. Multiple episode
arcs will stretch this process out, and the Power Rangers lose until the
final episode in an arc.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete Series contains a variety of
violence normally in the form of martial arts. There are explosions and
weapons used at different periods in time. Kimberly likes to show off
her mid-riff starting in season two. She eventually leaves late in
season three.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete Series includes Season One
Part One, Season One Part Two, Season Two Part One, Season Two Part Two,
Season Three, and Bonus Features. Season Three is five discs, and all
the other season parts are three discs. The bonus features has two
discs.
I noticed some oddities in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete
Series. They talk about the power protecting them. What is this power?
Where does it come from? The show also teaches to stop pollution,
believe in yourself, believe in martial arts, and good triumphs over
evil.
Season two brings us a new bad guy - Zed. Rita marries him and the two
work together to destroy the Power Rangers. Eventually Rita's brother
and father make appearances. The Power Rangers start with five, and
eventually get a sixth Power Ranger. Tommy the Green Ranger is the
addition.
The Power Rangers shake things up in season two as the Red, Black, and
Yellow Rangers are replaced with new people. The replacements are
extremely lame in my opinion. Aisha is bossy, and the other two are
minimal in terms of their roles. I found it odd that Jason the first Red
Ranger is complimented on his amazing leadership. And then is replaced
by the white Ranger right afterwards. This is not the only noticeable
lack of continuity in the show.
Puddies with a 'Z' on their chest can be punched or kicked in the 'Z' to
be disposed of. I lost track of how many times I saw them hit in the 'Z'
and they did not explode. The Power Rangers have more than their share
of time traveling episodes. The writers take cheap shots at the past
like those who were accused of witch craft.
One thing I noticed about Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The Complete
Series is how things were always in flux. They had one kind of zord, and
then another. Different voices for characters like Zordon, constant cast
changes, and new powers for the Power Rangers. We get Ninja Rangers, and
Rangers with metallic shields on their suits, and Alien Rangers. This is
actually a great way to stop the show from becoming stale.
Bulk and Skull provide comic relief in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The
Complete Series. They start out as bullies, and then they want to find
the identities of the Power Rangers. Finally they become junior police
officers. Sort of like an ROTC for the police department.
Fans of the show will totally eat up Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The
Complete Series. I disagreed with many of the directions the show took.
I personally found the behind the scenes bonus features very
interesting. Please watch your children if you let them take the karate
lesson. They might hurt a sibling or something in your home.
