Masters of Mystery Blood of Betrayal
SCORE: 60
Detective Carrie Chase is back. She is
bigger, and badder, oh wait that is something else. The detective is
back with a new partner in Masters of Mystery Blood of Betrayal. The
game starts out in a confusing manner - we are at the scene of an
accident with an officer down. We then rewind a few days to get the
context of the accident.
Don't you just love when cop shows do that? They ruin so much like we
know someone is going to get hurt, and we generally know who. Detective
Chase has a new partner, and she likes him. So much so that she is
willing to break regulations and rules for him. Uh-Oh.
Masters of Mystery Blood of Betrayal is an adult police related show.
Think along the lines of Law and Order, NCIS, CSI, etc. So expect to
find blood splatter, dead bodies, and related images. Given the choice I
would pick this over the occult images in some of the other hidden
object games.
There are a few instances in Masters of Mystery Blood of Betrayal where
language were a problem. I guess they are trying to be edgy and push the
envelope. The problem for me is the envelope keeps getting pushed so far
away from family values, that families wind up rejecting everything that
pushes the envelope.
Masters of Mystery Blood of Betrayal will let you know that you are not
being helpful if you tap all over the screen. This is still a useful
technique when the player first enters a screen. There are four police
related tools that assist the player in finding the hidden items. As
well as a hint button that fills up at a leisurely pace.
Masters of Mystery Blood of Betrayal falls into the same trap so many
other hidden object games do - it makes us repeat the same screens until
we no longer care what we are looking for. Sometimes we are looking for
many of the same items - which defeats the concept of a hidden object
game.
Masters of Mystery Blood of Betrayal has one really important thing
going for it - the story. The story in Masters of Mystery Blood of
Betrayal is interesting, engaging, and will make most players want to go
through the painful levels just to find out what is going on.
