Mahjong Deluxe 2 Astral Planes
SCORE: 79
Mahjong games are usually about looking at
the field of tiles and finding the matches. Mahjong Deluxe 2 Astral
Planes throws a monkey wrench into the mix. The tiles are in 3D. And no
this is not on the Nintendo 3DS. I wonder why it was not put on that
platform.
The main game play concept in Mahjong Deluxe 2 Astral Planes is to
rotate the shapes around until a matching tile is found. This would be
awesome if it was easier to rotate around these images. Forget about
things like zooming in and zooming out. Tiles can be touched from behind
which is handy when only two are left.
I know my vision may not be the best on the planet earth. Even with my
reading glasses I had issues seeing some of the things on the tiles.
Routinely I thought I had a match only to find out I did not. So I would
try again thinking maybe I accidentally hit another tile rotating around
the shape. Don't laugh because I did that a few times.
I enjoyed listening to the music in Mahjong Deluxe 2 Astral
Planes. It fits the planetary backgrounds, and tile matching game play.
Make sure you have a never iPhone, or iPod Touch. One of my older ones
crashed every time I tried to play Mahjong Deluxe 2 Astral Planes. Which
is a shame because it gets expensive being forced to upgrade all the
time.
Mahjong Deluxe 2 Astral Planes is the most unique Mahjong game I have
ever played. I believe there is a market for this game. Those that do
not like traditional Mahjong games may get into Mahjong Deluxe 2 Astral
Planes. Having to constantly rotate the screen around gets tiresome
though.
