Little Space Heroes

Little Space Heroes

As we started to explore Twitter, we came across Little Space Heroes. They had received some awards from a couple of sites, so we expressed an interest. This PC MMO (massively multiplayer online) game is designed for six to twelve year old. They are big on their various protections for kids. More on that coming up.

Being a little space hero is interesting in Little Space Heroes. The character design and art work is generally safe. There is some mild violence in some games. The graphics in Little Space Heroes are a bit on the small side. Kids don't mind though because the details are good. Every thing in Little Space Heroes is clearly labeled, and we can use the map to jump to any location instantly.

There are various special effect sounds that can bring smiles to the faces of children. As an adult some of them sounded strange to me. Little Space Heroes does not give much direction on what to do, and where to do it. Kids we let try Little Space Heroes asked us where the mini games are. After some looking around we found them for them.

The mini games in Little Space Heroes are pretty simple in terms of controls. Most of us have played similar games over the years. Kids gave us mixed reactions to Little Space Heroes. Some enjoyed them, and some were not very impressed. I have played numerous online kids games, and Little Space Heroes feels smaller to me.

Little Space Heroes is free for those to play. There are monthly plans to get more coins - which is what is used to purchase items in the game. Players can earn the same gold coins by playing the mini games. Parents can control the social aspect of Little Space Heroes. This includes turning the chat feature on or off.

Speaking of the chat functions, I tried some thing with Little Space Heroes. We have tests here at Family Friendly Gaming to see how friendly these safety features are to Christians. We noticed many things relating to Christianity censored, yet words from other religions were not being blocked. I understand the idea that they want to try and avoid offending people. But I am offended that there is not fairness in terms of the censorship.
