Janes Zoo

G5 Entertainment is known for two things: hidden object games, and time management games. Jane's Zoo is a time management game. The name of this game may sound familiar. The iPhone/iPod Touch game came out in 2011. Gamers are now being treated to the iPad version. This is generally a straight port across.

The graphics in the iPad version of Jane's Zoo look a little better in my opinion. The animals look good, and so do the people. We are educated to how horrible humans are, and how much we are polluting the planet. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you. The digital animals in Jane's Zoo are appreciative of our taking care of them.

All of the levels have a goal we need to reach. The faster we do what the animals want the higher our score. Bonus levels have time limits. We have to collect all the trash in a certain amount of time for example. Those areas reminded me of inner city parks, and nothing like how it looks out in the country.

The animals generally start as babies and grow up as we care for them. Certain animals mature quicker than I would have ever expected, but this is a video game. The animals have sounds that are close to their real world counter parts. Like all time management games, Jane's Zoo starts out easy, and slowly turns up the Bunsen burners.

Jane's Zoo makes me think of organized chaos. We are feeding this animal, bathing that animal, cleaning another animals cage, and providing water to another one. Then it rains and all the animals want to go into their houses. There are items we can purchase at different intervals to improve the game play experience in Jane's Zoo. Those help each and every time.

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code before this app was officially released on the iPad. I am not aware of what the final price will be. I am also not aware of what the rating will be. I expect it will be 4+. If you like time management games and do not already own Jane's Zoo, then you may want to check it out on the iPad.
