Greedy Penguins

The WMG can understand how the name of this app could immediately turn off many of our readers. Greedy Penguins does not invoke the fruits of the spirit in this reviewers mind. But please practice patience and read the entire review. Then you decide if the judgement you made on the name is worthy of the content.

Greedy Penguins has tons of little animations. The more fish you collect, the more animations the game will provide. This is a neat little reward system for an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad video game. The penguins in Greedy Penguins look strange. Sorry, they do. The colors are bright and alive in Greedy Penguins, and bring happiness to the lives of those that play it.

The music in Greedy Penguins is fantastic. All of the characters in Greedy Penguins have special effect sounds that enrich this hand held title. The depth to the sounds in Greedy Penguins is exceptional. Especially when you feed the penguin the right colored fish. Feed them the wrong fish, and well things get disgusting. The penguin will visible vomit, and that is one sound and image you can't get out of your head quickly.

Greedy Penguins is a physics puzzle game. The fish have to be dropped in the right order, and at the right time to successfully complete the level. Players must also perform this extremely quickly to get all three fish (scoring mechanism) in a level. A high number of fish are required to progress to the next world. This meant having to replay levels over and over again to score high enough to progress.

The price of Greedy Penguins is fair with the ninety-nine cent price tag. There are enough levels, and unlockable content to keep engaged gamers interested. The biggest drawback to Greedy Penguins is making mistakes. Seeing the penguins vomit is not a pretty site. This reviewer could have done without that image.
