Country Dance continues to grow, and now
it has made it to Kinect on the Xbox 360 in the home console game
Country Dance All-Stars. Expect to find musicians like Carrie Underwood,
Sugarland, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, and
many more. Dancers Boot Skoot Boogie, and it is up to one to two players
to mimic those movements.
There are over thirty songs in Country Dance All-Stars. Out of those
songs there are ten that I am into. The main issue families will have
with Country Dance All-Stars is the lyrical issues in some of the songs.
There are some aspects that I appreciated like artists admitting they
were sinning and should be doing something better.
I am surprised the ESRB did not notice the suggestive themes in certain
dance moves in Country Dance All-Stars. Millions use reviews like ours
to learn about content the ESRB misses in their descriptors. There are
certain hip movements in Country Dance All-Stars that are definitely
suggestive. My hubby commented that his hips don't go that way - only
women can move in that way based on body type.
Country Dance All-Stars includes some neat visual special effects. The
dresses of the dancers have designs that are nearly transparent. Before
you freak out, they do not reveal anything. Like looking into a window
where there is a pattern. A few of those dancers could have dressed less
revealing though. The male characters in Country Dance All-Stars dress
properly.
There are four main modes in Country Dance All-Stars. They are Normal,
Perfection, Freeze, and Rehearsal. Two family members can enjoy Country
Dance All-Stars at the same time. Please keep enough distance or you
will have a Kinect injury. If you like country music, and you like
dancing then you will appreciate Country Dance All-Stars. You will also
find your money well spent on this home console video game.
Country Dance All-Stars grades players in four categories. There is
Great, Good, OK, and Miss. Miss is the only area where no points are
awarded. I found Country Dance All-Stars is very forgiving in terms of
the scoring. With that said I had a majority of my percentages in OK. I
had fun playing Country Dance All-Stars, even though it was tiring. The
lyrics are on the screen so you can sing along while playing this Xbox
360 game.
Country Dance All-Stars teaches us to get up and get some exercise. In a
lot of ways Country Dance All-Stars can replace the bars, clubs, and
other seedy places where people used to go dancing. The lessons in some
of the songs in Country Dance All-Stars are not so positive. Many
exhibit worldly attitudes that have hurt countless hearts and minds.
Others are better. If you are not sure then check out the song listing.
