uDraw Studio

The official launch of the uDraw came and
went. It was not until later that we realized Family Friendly Gaming had
not been provided a reviewable unit. That was okay, because we started
saving up to get one. Well earlier this week we got a wonderful surprise
		- a reviewable unit arrived. The uDraw GameTablet comes with uDraw
Studio. This game is like a Paint program on steroids. A paint program
that is safe for the entire family. As long as you keep your drawings
		family friendly that is.

The GameTablet looks super high tech, and goes great with the Wii
Remote. The blue box that lets us know where to draw sticks out
masterfully. The uDraw logo got me excited about art. The pen has a nice
look to it that goes along with the rest of the unit. The graphics
inside uDraw Studio are fantastic. You can make some amazing pieces of
art thanks to the plethora of tools within this Wii game. The coloring
pages are great for kids. There are numerous backgrounds that can be
		used as a canvas.

Art programs can be intimidating to those of us without artistic talent.
Well at least in terms of drawing. The tutorials in uDraw Studio are
wonderful. I was able to learn how to use the tools easily, and quickly.
The soothing music in uDraw Studio helped me with the creative juices. I
did not find any offensive sounds while I was playing uDraw Studio.

I know people who have very expensive drawing programs on the computer.
I also know some who have expensive drawing pads on the computer.uDraw
Studio is a wonderful tool for those who want to do some electronic
drawing without the huge cost. THQ had published an amazing piece of
technology. SD cards can be used to print the pictures that are drawn in
uDraw Studio. If you have any interest in art then you will find your
money well spent on uDraw Studio.

I was amazed at how good the uDraw GameTablet is. I would hold the
stylus over an area and the cursor would appear in that area of the
canvas. I am not clear how that motion sensing technology works but it
impressed me. The stylus can also press in a bit like a button. The cord
is short enough where it wont cause a problem, but long enough to reach
all over the canvas. I had fun playing uDraw Studio.

I am still not that great of an artist, but I see the amazing benefit to
uDraw Studio. Families can use this to draw, and learn. There is content
in uDraw Studio for all ages of the family. I hope that THQ continues to
produce numerous titles for this peripheral. I also would love to see
some other companies jump on board with games. It was my pleasure to be
able to play and review uDraw Studio.
