Zumba Fitness 2
SCORE: 84
Zumba Fitness 2 on the Wii comes in a
rather large box. The reason is there is a belt that comes with it. This
belt is used to house the Wii Remote. But when I first opened it, I
thought I was being given the women's championship belt from the WWE or
something. The bright green pops right off the black making a
fashionable statement. Look at me, I am Zumba Fitness 2.
The game tells you right before starting a song to put the Wii remote
into the belt on your right hip, buttons facing out. I did this and the
Wii game did not register one move. I was frustrated beyond belief
(editor: a very neat Petra song as well). Then a little birdie who is
better at these games than me took another belt and tried it with the
Wii Remote facing up. It worked perfectly.
Visually there are all kinds of explosives when you do things right.
There are different stages and different dancers. Some of the female
dancers could use some more clothes in my opinion. I get it that you are
extremely physically fit. Modesty is still a concept in this world. Many
of the dance moves are very safe, and that surprised me.
The ESRB gave Zumba Fitness 2 a 'T' for Teen rating based on the
language problems. Many of the songs are in another language so I was
not even sure what they were singing about. Maybe Juan was passing a
banana to his aunt or something. I don't know. I did find some hip hop
songs where certain parts could have been bleeped out. I would have been
content with bleeping of those words, or an option to do that.
I am not really sure how young we need to start kids on Zumba though. So
the thirteen and older warning label might be good for that aspect.
Besides they have Just Dance kids games anyways. Zumba Fitness 2 is very
nice to the player in terms of recognizing the moves - as long as you
have the controller facing the right direction.
Zumba Fitness 2 includes thirty-two different routines, and songs. There
are five game play modes, and twenty dance styles. Four family members
can enjoy Zumba Fitness 2 at the same time. Family members can track
their calorie loss, and how well they do in the dances. The more stars
you earn the more content you will unlock.
Zumba Fitness 2 taught me one major thing - dancing can be fun. This may
sound cliched, but Zumba Fitness 2 makes dancing fun. Family members can
learn the dance moves, and get some exercise. The bad lyrics teach
lessons that we do not really need in our world. The world would be a
better place if people took a better path.
