Viking vs Chickens

Have you ever wanted to play a Viking and get all the eggs you can from the chickens? Me neither. However Uplay Mobile has now provided you the opportunity to play such a game on the iPhone/iPod Touch. You walk around with your pirate avoiding the chickens. Collect as many eggs as you can for as long as you can.

The majority of the characters in Viking vs Chickens seem unhappy. At least that is how the art depicts them, and my interpretation of the art. The vikings face shows damage when he gets hit, which is how we can tell how many more hits our bearded main character can take. There are health eggs and power up eggs. Although some of the power ups are gross.

I am pretty sure that the Viking in Viking vs Chickens passes flammable gas. This is probably meant as a gag. Not everyone will get the joke. Although eggs can make you pass gas. Now you get the joke. The music in Viking vs Chickens is decent. I especially enjoyed the Uplay Mobile logo song as the game is booting up.

Viking vs Chickens is selling for ninety-nine cents. So it is not an expensive game. There is essentially one level that you play as long as you can survive. The game play area is large enough to keep gamers busy for a few minutes. Players can upload their scores to places like Facebook. If you get into the game play then there will be a fair amount of replay. The leaderboards may encourage you to try and get a higher score.

I love how Viking vs Chickens has players decide if they want to use the accelerometer or put a joystick on the right or left side of the screen. Some hits in Viking vs Chickens can be cheap as the game has chickens appear on the edges of the game play area. I found myself a little bored with walking around and avoiding the chickens. It got repetitive and since eggs keep re-appearing I never felt like I was making any progress. I wish this game had been separated out into levels. Let me collect all the eggs and move on.

What did Viking vs Chickens teach me? Well that Vikings can avoid massive waves of chickens for a really long time. I wonder what the Viking would do with that many eggs? Feed the entire village? I also noticed some glitches in Viking vs Chickens when going certain directions. I believe it was uploading what was coming up. It was a minor hiccup but noticeable.
