Transformers Prime Darkness Rising

You might remember the news story we published earlier this year concerning Transformers Prime on Hub. I hoped that someone would put it on a DVD. I then hoped that someone was a company we had a partnership with. Well both of my hopes came true. The Shout Factory has put this on a DVD. Transformers Prime Darkness Rising plays like an animated movie lasting 106 minutes.

It is interesting how different things affect a franchise. Transformers Prime Darkness Rising is definitely inspired by the live action movies. The Decepticons look more like the movie variations than previous animated versions of the show. That same inspiration can also be seen in many of the Autobots as well.

Expect robot violence in Transformers Prime Darkness Rising. A human is also tortured but very little is shown on screen thankfully. Autobots and Decepticons kill each other in some disturbing ways. What makes it worse is Megatron has found a way to bring the dead robots back to life. So zombies meet the Transformers is how I describe Transformers Prime Darkness Rising.

The voice acting in Transformers Prime Darkness Rising is finger licking good. The all star cast does an excellent job. Optimus Prime has the only voice we fans will ever accept. Jeffrey Combs does an excellent Ratchet. Guess who voices Cliffjumper? Dwayne Johnson. And I could certainly smell what he was cooking.

Transformers Prime Darkness Rising is one of the longer animated movies on the market today. Which is kind of sad. I wish more animated movies were this long. There are a few bonus features that show some of the work that went into the creation of Transformers Prime Darkness Rising. Transformers Prime Darkness Rising does stand as an interesting movie that had me guessing until nearly the end.

Transformers Prime Darkness Rising left so many questions in my mind. How are Transformers created? Why can't more be made? How many more Autobots and Decepticons are out there in space? What was the state of Unicron? Is Megatron really dead? After all he...well I don't need to spoil that aspect of this movie for you. I enjoyed the ride that this DVD gave me.

The plus side to Transformers Prime Darkness Rising is the Autobots do everything possible to protect humans. They go to great lengths to keep three children safe. They are dismayed when they put in harms way. On the down side they lie to other characters to keep secrets. The Decepticons are extremely evil. I did not really understand what their goal was. Why conquer earth? Possibly the madness is what they are all about, as well as just following orders. Hmmm where has that been used before.
