Thor god of thunder

Marvel has had a string of successful movies at the box office in recent years. They hope to capitalize on that with Thor. The Asgard god of thunder. In essence Marvel took some Norse mythology and brought it into their comic book universe. Sega has published a video game on the Wii (editor: and other systems) based on the movie. Hence Thor God of Thunder on the Wii, and my review.

The music in Thor God of Thunder is pumping and got me interested in this game right away. Thor God of Thunder teaches the player have to play, and about a boatload of special moves for the hammer wielding hero. Expect to face many of the same enemies over and over again in Thor God of Thunder on the Wii. There are some interesting flying levels in this game though.

Visually Thor God of Thunder starts out pretty white. Since the frost giants are attacking, and then Thor goes on a quest of vengeance in their world. What about earth? Well we were a small nearly forgotten side project for these "gods." That certainly warmed my heart, which I needed while fighting all those ice creatures. At times I felt like I was committing genocide in Thor God of Thunder. The violence in this Wii game beat like a drum. Smashing bad guys to pieces is one of the things that earns this game its high rating.

The music in Thor God of Thunder does thump and bump. It pumped me up to wade through another thousand whatever they were. When you are digitally murdering thousands of things do you really care what their names are? They looked the same, sounded the same, and died the same. The voice acting between the lengthy levels was cool, and I appreciated the talent. There were little nuances to the tonal inflections that I appreciated.

Thor God of Thunder includes various unlockable content, along with hidden content. The road in Thor God of Thunder is pretty straight forward. There are areas that branch off which usually contain bonus content. There are various difficulties in Thor God of Thunder if you feel like making the game more challenging. Your brain might be numb from all the violence though.

The deeper I got into Thor God of Thunder the more I felt like I needed a NFL playbook. I say that because there are so many different moves in this game. I would forget one for a few levels, and then accidentally perform it again. The flying levels are interesting, but raining down lightning on everything did get a little confusing. The repetition of bashing in the same guys over and over again did get old. Now the combos, and other special moves made beating them faster, but they were best saved for the end bosses.

In a lot of ways Thor is very human. He is presented as a god, but I know a lot of people who can control their anger much better. They also avoid such pitfalls and ill advised plans. Thor God of Thunder makes me thankful for how Jesus came down to earth, and the important life lessons he taught. Thor takes a different path, and with all of the destruction it is obviously the wrong path. The player gets to go down that path with Thor. Hopefully you will learn to avoid that path as I have. I do appreciate how Thor does not die after falling off ledges.
