The Story of Noahs Ark

I saw The Story of Noah’s Ark in the clearance area at our local Target. I wondered if this Nintendo DS game was good or not. I also asked my hubby why we had not heard about this game before. Thankfully we had the money to make this purchase, and I am so glad I did. The Story of Noah’s Ark is not a perfect game, but a really good one for kids. This hand held game teaches the historical account of Noah from the Holy Bible. They took a few artistic liberties which I will address in just a bit.

The visual style and look of The Story of Noah’s Ark is very approachable. This hand held game is great for children. The animations in The Story of Noah’s Ark are fun, fresh, and humorous. The mini games in this DS game teach letters, spelling, colors, and more. I did not find any offensive images while playing this game.

The voices in The Story of Noah’s Ark fit the theme of this game, and are a pleasure to listen to. The artistic liberties I mentioned before are in areas that the Holy Bible does not address. The Story of Noah’s Ark on the DS claims Noah went looking for all the animals. The Holy Bible does not state one way or the other. So this hand held game could be right, or it could be wrong. I must admit this DS game is more accurate than I was expecting.

The mini games in The Story of Noah’s Ark are great for kids. My own youngest really enjoys playing this game. He enjoys learning these lessons in a fun way. The historical account of Noah’s Ark is fantastic. As an adult I found these games to be fun, and the production value of the story to be very high. I feel that money was well spent on The Story of Noah’s Ark.

The touch screen controls work flawlessly in The Story of Noah’s Ark. Kids can easily use this game in learning letters, spelling, matching, and colors. I let my youngest play The Story of Noah’s Ark, and he was easily able to play each of the games. I love the lesson in The Story of Noah’s Ark, and how God is included. This is one of those video games that can help your child learn important life lessons. The Story of Noah’s Ark is one of those games that is a blast to play.

I am so thankful that I found a copy of The Story of Noah’s Ark. This hand held video game makes the video game industry look better. Here is another game that we can point to as a good use of the medium. I hope and pray that Southpeak Games continues to publish wonderful games like this one. It was a real pleasure for me to play and review this Nintendo DS video game. The Story of Noah’s Ark has great lessons that are very important to learn.
