The Outer Limits Season One

In the mid 1990s The Outer Limits was brought back. This Sci-Fi television show contains different actors/actresses in different shows. There are some themes and loosely connected content. Each show is its own contained unit. There are shows based on aliens, robots, and other super natural. The lessons in The Outer Limits Season One range drastically. Some are about being more trusting of aliens, and others are about standing up to them as they are trying to kill us all off. One show deals with death, and an old man completely afraid of it. He did not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, so he did not know peace.

The most important thing families need to know about The Outer Limits Season One is there is nudity in it. This is not family friendly Sci-Fi. Sexual content is dealt with in this television show, and a Hollywood’s belief in sexual relations. Which means accepted family values for thousands of years is under attack by this show. There is blood, violence, gore, and death in The Outer Limits Season One.

The language is another aspect of The Outer Limits Season One that is anti-family. I did not remember this show had so much bad language in it throughout various episodes. Some of the language is anti-church, and there is plenty of deceit in this show. The title sequence has memorable words that will get stuck in your head, like: “please stand by.”

There are a few special features for The Outer Limits Season One. I would have liked some more personally, but beggars can not be choosers. Documentaries, and Origins of the Outer Limits make up the majority of the extras. The shows can be interesting, but I have no interest in rewatching them anytime soon. I did not realize how old this series had become.

The DVD’s have an intelligent design, and are easy to navigate through. They are a little plain Jane in terms of layout. The stories in The Outer Limits Season One tell various stories that can provoke thought. I found the majority of the slant to these thoughts to be against people of faith, and traditional morals.

I know this show went on for seven years. Thankfully it has been retired because it was not making the world a better place. The church of evolution got some teachings in The Outer Limits Season One. Some of the lessons in The Outer Limits Season One are concerning the dangers of technology especially when used without ethics. I wish this show had been better.
