The Deskplorers Episode Three Egyptians
SCORE: 84
The Deskplorers franchise continues to
develop, mature, and grow. Family Friendly Gaming was recently provided
with a download code for Deskplorers Episode Three Egyptians. This time
the nice ones track the not so nice ones to ancient Egypt. Cleopatra
finds her way into this franchise, as well as things like pyramids and
other ancient devices.
The animations have been stroked up from the previous episode we
reviewed. The doodle drawings have now warmed they way into my heart.
They are completely non-offensive. Even though there is some cartoon
violence in this game, it is not shown. Deskplorers Episode Three
Egyptians is a kids app that is safe for kids to watch and play.
I am really digging the music in Deskplorers Episode Three Egyptians.
Something about it feels fun, and fresh. The characters are not only
trying to stop the bad guys, but they take time to learn, and enjoy
where they are. Their attitudes are great. Well the nice ones have good
attitudes. The story telling is improving, and actually captivated me.
The mini games can be replayed in Deskplorers Episode Three Egyptians
after the story is beaten. They are the generally the same from Episode One. So that
may get a little boring for a child who has already mastered them. There
is one new one - teaching children to eat better. The
story that Deskplorers Episode Three Egyptians tells is interesting -
although I am sure you can predict how it will turn out in the end.
Deskplorers Episode Three Egyptians is currently selling for $1.99.
The mini games are very easy to play in Deskplorers Episode Three
Egyptians. Kids have no issues with them. In fact they enjoy them. My
own children earned enough money to purchase all of the items in the
catalog. Then they would try every single item to further the story
along. Some plot points are pretty simple to pick out. Others made no
sense to me, but they worked.
Deskplorers Episode Three Egyptians teaches about Cleopatra, pyramids,
and a little about the false gods that were worshiped at the time. This
is an opportunity to discuss various ideologies that have made their way
to prominence over time. I enjoyed this app, and feel it is getting
better with every episode. I can not wait to see how the season finishes
off.
