The Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes Volume 3 and Volume 4
SCORE: 80
When our first born was younger we used to
love watching Justice League Unlimited on Cartoon Network. That show has
been the pinnacle of animated super hero for some time now. The Avengers
Earth's Mightiest Heroes Volume 3 and Volume 4 steps up to the level of
JLU. The character development is no longer needed, and the creators can
focus on the story telling. Which is something they obvious excel at.
Expect super hero violence in The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Volume 3 and Volume 4. Hulk smashes, Iron Man shoots, while the others
use weapons and/or powers to their advantage. An interesting aspect of
The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Volume 3 and Volume 4 is Ant Man
comes to realize you can not always talk it out with some characters.
Some people only understand a violent response. This is a sad reality of
our world as well.
The voice acting in The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Volume 3 and
Volume 4 is awe inspiring. If I ever went into voice acting I would hope
to do as good a job as the cast of this show does. They put attitude
into the characters in ways that are very subtle. The diverse cast of
characters are all played to type. But they grow as well. Thor
apologizes and asks for help. Hulk earns respect and finds he likes it.
Ant Man has to live with a major mistake that almost destroys the world.
The characters get meaty stuff to deal with.
We reviewed the first two volumes as one
because that is generally the length of a season for an animated
television show. We decided to continue that trend. Volume 3 of The
Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes contains six episodes, and Volume 4
includes seven episodes. Each volume has one disc with it. Both discs
contain a bonus feature which is an animated in episode comic book
version of an episode that includes interesting information on the
characters - both hero and villain.
The story lines is where The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Volume 3
and Volume 4 achieves greatness. The multi-episode story arcs work
amazingly well. I enjoyed seeing Kang, Hydra, and Loki. Different
characters in The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Volume 3 and Volume
4 have different motives. What is interesting is to see these different
agendas play out. There are some intense moments in these episodes where
I was not sure where it was going.
The Avengers fight off evil, and save the world. Saving the world is a
theme I got used to watching this show. Asgard is explored in The
Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Volume 3 and Volume 4. There is also a
tree of life concept put into Volume 4. There is something about super
heroes that appeal to boys. I remember it when I was young.
The story line continues after The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Volume 4. The shocking To Be Continued ending will have fans clamoring
for more. It is obvious where the storyline is going next. I for one am
curious where it will wind up. The Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Volume 3 and Volume 4 has reached the level of JLU. I hope to see it
surpass it in the next season.
